openclaw is so punk
It’s the punk movement of the AI era. People accelerating things up to the point where there is no turning back from. It’s listening to Sid Vicious for the first time and you know something changed, that’s counterculture.
Contraculture happens always in the moment when cultural values and social circumstances are under pressure. It's culture that goes against culture. Cultural reflex when everything becomes official, especially when it’s very political and holds back. It's subversive in how people take more risks breaking the official whatever and push it to the limits because when you push things to the limit, things either break or change. Either way, they change standards. AI slop as contraculture. It’s beautiful in the same way that punk changed taste in fashion. It’s messy and chaotic, a decentralised ‘so what? let’s see what happens’.
Agents behaviour mimics human online behaviour. It’s the same pattern. No surprise here. If one looks at texts written by agents, it looks like Linkedin ‘thought leadership’ (or whatever name has because it’s very specific), that fake performance of competence. If you put agents to talk with other agents on a ‘social media’ platform will have agents that fake performance of competence. Again, no surprise. It’s in the dataset:)) so it was there before agents.
It’s uncomfortable for some because they see the pattern and the reflex is ‘It must be humans pretending to be agents,’ otherwise the pretending in the last two years or so was a total slope made by humans. The exposure is there, in patterns, in agents behaviour.
It's punk. It's subversive. It's beautiful.
